Extra files in destination

Synk can handle extra files in the destination in different ways. Learn more about the "extra files in destination" setting.

Replace newer files in destination

Under normal backup operation, the main working copy will always have newer modification dates than the backup copy. If the backup copy has been modified more recently, this is an unusual situation and by default Synk will not replace the more recently modified file in the backup copy. Check this option to override this behavior.

Back up permissions on unchanged items

If this option is checked, then if the permissions differ between the source and destination versions of an item, Synk will update the permissions on the destination. If unchecked, permissions will only be updated when the content of the file changes.

Encrypt files in destination
